Artist Submission

The Upper West Music Awards Scheme (hereinafter referred to as “UMA” or ‘the event’) is organized and produced by ES-Entertainment. (Hereinafter referred to as Echosoundz Entertainment. or ‘the Organizer’).

UTHORIZATIONA

By filing to be nominated for this scheme, you have agreed that your music, images, videos and all other copyright material can be used for the purposes of the scheme and also agree that all content generated in relation to the scheme belongs to the organizers. These could include TV/radio commercials, press and online ads, billboards, documentaries, inserts on programs, fliers, hand-outs, banners, posters, brochures, etc. So far as they are used purposely in relation to the Upper West Music Awards.
Every information entered on the form by Artiste/Manager is the true representation of my works done and do conform to tenets of the schemes release regulations and guidelines.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

The Upper West Music Awards scheme is not mandated to give cash or any other incentive to artistes beyond the plaque. Where any such incentive is given, it will be given only to artistes that attend the event and pick up their awards personally.
The UMA board has the right to dismiss, disqualify or bar any artiste(s) who abuses the scheme, the board or any of its members or the organizing body with or without any just cause or puts the brand into any kind of disrepute. ES-Entertainment runs an open-door policy where all grievances and issues can be channeled and resolved amicably.

Any false representation in terms of ownership, release dates, etc could result in a total disqualification of the artistes and the works submitted

1. UMA is not mandated to give cash or any other incentive to participants beyond the plaque. Where any such incentive is given, it will be given only to participants who attend the event and pick up their awards personally.
2. The UMA board reserves the right to dismiss or disqualify any participant who abuses and disrespects the scheme, the Board, any of its members, the organizing body or puts the brand into any form of disrepute that dents the UMA brand.
3. UMA is opened to all Artistes, DJs, instrumentalists, poets and Industry Players of the Upper West Music Industry.
4. Submitting a work which is the intellectual property of someone else will result to immediate disqualification when identified.
5. Participants under the age of 18 must obtain permission from their parents/guardians before entering into the scheme.
6. All nomination entries shall be screened by the UMA Board.
7. Only songs/works that fall under the year of review will be considered.
8. Songs may be judged based on the criteria of originality, composition, morality, lyrics, melody, commercial appeal and quality of production.
9. Participants shall not be given feedback or critiques on their songs or works after vetting whether or not they are qualified.
10. Participants who successfully pass the nomination process will be notified either by WhatsApp, Phone call or have their names published or all of the aforementioned.
11. Participant agrees to be bound by all Terms and Conditions of UMA.
12. The Organizer reserves the right to cancel this event at any stage if circumstances arise beyond its control and will not be held liable for any damages.
13. The Organizer shall announce a deadline for the submission of entries and reserves the right to make any changes if possible.
14. Participants shall download the Registration form from upperwestmusicawards.com fill and submit the hard copies to the organizer or its representative or do the online submission before the deadline.
15. Participants must complete the Registration process by sign all forms to be considered valid.
16. Participants should type clearly or write legibly.
17. Submissions from under aged participants must include a signed parent/guardian’s permission and consent.
18. Participants must include, in their submissions, a passport size picture stapled to the Registration forms.
19. Song entries should be recorded on pen drives, with Participant’s name clearly indicated on the pen drive.
20. Completed forms and other attachments should be submitted to Fashion House or Echosoundz Studio, Wa.
21. Winners of UMA 2024 should not promote or endorse any other awards apart from UMA until they are seized to be winners
22. All UMA 2024 nominees are mandated to attend all UMA 2024 events during, before and after the main award event at no cost to the Organizer.
23. Nominees shall not be given assess to monitor votes before, during or after the award events.
24. Artist of the year category winners will be awarded with a plague, the sum of Five Thousand Ghana Cedis cash (GHC 5,000.00).

However, all these tracks will be recorded within upper west region and on the video production every charge about the video shooting and editing including equipment Cameraman and crew will be taken care of by the organizer any other cost will be bond by the artist
Three months Online promotion with one of the popular blogs that is supporting the scheme with the winner producing the content. Which means if there are no content produced by the winner, no online promotion.
25. The Winner of the Artiste of the Year category shall compose and record a song, to promote UMA 2024 headline sponsor at no cost, which will be produced by the Organizer.
26. 26. The new Artist of the year Award winners will be awarded with a plague, the sum of Thousand Ghana Cedis cash (GHC 1,000.00).

27. With respect to categories that will be awarded with collaboration or recording deals, this deal shall not stop or affect the next event in case there is a delay in the process. And in the occurrence of unforeseen circumstances that may hinder the recording, production or the entire collaboration, the Organizer reserves the right to take any other measures deem fit, depending on the said circumstances.
28. All UMA 2024 winners will endorse sponsors at no cost.
29. The Organizer reserves the right to amend this Terms and Conditions at any time subject to notification on their website or any possible means.
