This is to aid you in correctly categorizing your entry for the 2024 Upper West Music Awards. Information supplied here is deemed credible and final.

1. SINGLE refers to a particular released song that may or may not be part of a released album

2. ALBUM/EP refers to Extended or long playlist (EP. LP.) which is a compilation of songs released by an artiste(s) which may also include previously released singles.

3. CATEGORY refers to which place you would like the songs to be strongly considered according to UMA’s category definitions.

4. GENRE refers to the type/style of music an Artiste does.

No. UMA is not mandated to give cash or any other incentive to participants beyond the plaque. Where any such incentive is given, it will be given only to participants who attend the event and pick up their awards personally.

Nominees shall not be given assess to monitor votes before, during or after the award events.

To vote,

  1. Dial *389*963# on all networks
  2. Select option 1 (Which is Vote)
  3. Input Nominee Code
  4. Press 1 to confirm if the name displayed is who you want to vote for
  5. Select the number of votes
  6. Select the payment option (MTN, AirtelTigo or Vodafone) and press send
  7. Enter your wallet number
  8. Wait for Authorization and then Input your pin to authorize payment

No. UMA is opened to all Artistes, DJs, instrumentalists, poets and Industry Players of the Upper West Music Industry. whether or not you are from upper west once you are promoting UW music industry, you have qualified to be nominated.
